INTRODUCTION
ODYSSEY DANCE THEATRE was founded in June 1999 by Mr. Danny Tan, MFA (Artistic Director / Choreographer), to provide a new creative voice in dance.
A full-time professional contemporary dance theatre, ODT has been kept on the fast-track journey to excellence in contemporary dance exploration. The aptly named ODT has astounded local and international audiences on a number of accounts while the vision and ambition of the works is paired to the utmost commitment to professionalism and innovation.
MISSION
Singapore Foremost Contemporary Dance Theatre
ODT is an evolving dance theatre that experiments with contemporary theatrical forms and the multi-cultural aspects of Singapore's heritage.
Its main Choreographer, Danny Tan, likes to explore the fusion of different techniques and cultural backgrounds to protray the indigenous and rich heritage of Singapore. The company will also provide opportunities for other local / foreign choreographers to present their works.
ODT continues to extend the parameters of dance through performance, research and experimentation, to present and promote the dance theatre's works nationally and internationally and to support these works through excellence in management and production values.
